Our board consists of a dedicated group of passionate, godly men who are dedicated to sharing the Gospel through their lives and through their involvement with J2K Ministries and our associated ministries.
Justin & Emilie Stewart
Justin and Emilie have had a heart for ministry over the years, including supporting ministries that have helped place Bibles in the hands of people in countries where Bibles are hard to get or even illegal.
Justin, a certified Journeyman Red-Seal carpenter, is the founder of Ridgetech Builders and has incorporated a vision into his business of mentoring and training that develops his crew members into exceptional leaders.
Justin was integral in setting up the current HPWC site in High Prairie in 2016, and currently serves on the board of the Wimborne Alliance Church where he and his family attend on a regular basis.
Justin and Emilie are raising their four children and enjoy outdoor adventures such as camping, fishing, hunting, and exploring remote areas of the Rocky Mountains.
Ernest and Myfanwy Harbidge
Ernest and Myfanwy have been involved with camp ministry, evangelism, and ministry support work since they were both single.
After graduating from Miller College of the Bible with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies, Ernest served in Ethiopia for about 1.5 years before being removed due to local insurgent violence.
Back in Canada, Ernest obtained his Red Seal Journyman Carpenter certification and continued with ministry work at Ness Lake Bible Camp and then at Cariboo School of the Bible. He brings creative ideas for improvement everywhere he goes!
More recently, Ernest and Myfanwy have been instrumental in the founding and development of High Prairie Wilderness Camp. They are actively involved with the camp in various ways throughout the year and during the camp season.
Ernest also serves as the Vice Chair on the Board of Bethel Baptist Church in High Prairie, AB.
Ernest and Myfanwy have 8 grown children and enjoy time spent with their grandchildren, camping, and road trips.
Craig and Nicole Luney
Craig and Nicole have been involved with camp and church ministry initiatives for many years.
Craig started work with Sagitawa Trail Rides in 2005, and both he and Nikki continued to be part of the ministry through the camp until it closed its doors in 2020.
Over the years, Craig has attended Peace River Bible Institute and has been involved with leading and growing a local Youth Group and College and Career Group at the Goodlow Evangelical Free Church in Goodlow, BC. Craig continues to preach there on occasion and holds a position on the Church Board.
Craig is widely read with a passion for studying theology and Biblical doctrine and teaching fellow believers the rich depths of truth found in Scripture.
Craig and Nikki are raising their two children on their family ranch where they raise horses and red heelers, maintain a small herd of cows, and from where Craig drives logging truck in the winter and operates a custom silage business in the summer.
Randy and Katie Kopp
Randy and Katie Kopp have been involved with ministry in various churches for many years, with a heart to share the Gospel whenever the occasion arises.
Randy has taken discipleship training with the Navigators of Canada, volunteered at Meddowlodge Bible Camp, sat on church boards, and taught both adult and childrens’ Sunday School classes.
Randy holds a Master’s in Elementary Education, has spent time coaching basketball and wrestling, and participated in outdoor survival training, bringing a unique perspective and richly rounded experience to the J2K board.
Randy currently works as a Home School Facilitator, visiting families across central and Northern Alberta. Randy and Katie enjoy visiting with their four adult children and their spouses, and love spending time with their grand kids.
