2K Ministries – Statement of Qualifications
for Board and Committee Members

J2K Ministries affirms the following qualifications for Board Members and Committee Members, using the qualifications of elders/deacons found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 as our guide. This does not mean that individuals will be perfect in all or even one of these areas. Rather, they should be seeking to grow and mature in these areas throughout their life, living a lifestyle that evidences these qualities.
As with Church elders, board positions are only open to men who meet the qualifications.
As with the church position of deacon, local committee positions, except that of the committee chair, are equally open to women.  This is a reflection of our view of Biblical teaching on the respective roles of men and women in the realm of spiritual authority and not a reflection on the inherent value of the respective genders.

A. A Man/Male (Board Member), or a Man/Male or Woman/Female (Committee Member)

a. Board Member: A biologically birthed male; the role of a board member with J2K Ministries can only be held by a man in like manner as the role of an elder in a local church.
b. Committee Member, except for the Committee Chair: equally open to men and women who would meet the other qualifications for leadership outlined in our documents.
