Why J2K Ministries

J2K Ministries was founded to fulfill a need for a ministry that combined wilderness summer camp opportunities with ongoing Bible training to emphasize evangelism and discipleship.
After years of working in camps and other ministry settings, founder and executive director Aaron Harbidge noticed a natural gap in most ministries between evangelism and discipleship.  While in some cases this gap can be unavoidable, in many cases this gap can result in our youth and families not being properly equipped to live out their faith in school, the workplace, and even their own churches or families.
With a passion for evangelism through wilderness camp ministry and a desire to see spiritual growth in the lives of campers and staff, we are focused on following the command of the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19 – “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
